Edward Oyarce-Solomon grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where he began his dance training in a variety of styles. During his time in high school, he trained extensively under Mark Foehringer, and Brian Fisher-Paulson focusing primarily on Ballet, Contemporary, and Modern styles. Oyarce-Solomon continued his training in Peru by invitation of the US Embassy where he performed at Danzas Nuevas for the Instituto Cultural Norteamericano.
Oyarce-Solomon studied at the University of Southern California Glorya Kaufman School of Dance from which he graduated summa cum laude. During his time in Los Angeles, he had the opportunity to perform works by Crystal Pite, Barak Marshall, Jiří Kylián, and William Forsythe, among others. Upon his graduation he joined Ballet Tucson in the fall of 2021 and has been featured in works by resident choreographer Cheiko Imada and Amanda Morgan, as well as in classical ballets such as George Balanchine’s "Who Cares!".
