Performance Opportunities

⁣Announcing open children’s auditions for The Nutcracker!  All young dancers of Southern Arizona are welcome.

There is nothing more memorable for ballet dancers of all ages than performing in the treasured classical ballet The Nutcracker each holiday season. Student dancers have the special opportunity to join Ballet Tucson’s professional dancers onstage in our award-winning production to bring this magical tale to life for our Tucson community. They will also experience the grandeur of performing at The Linda Ronstadt Music Hall while dancing to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score as performed by the world-class musicians of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra.⁣

𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘛𝘶𝘤𝘴𝘰𝘯’𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘶𝘤𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘺 𝘖𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘑𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘏. 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘙. 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘒𝘪𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘦𝘦 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯⁣

This annual performance will take place on May 21, 2024. Levels 1 and up students enrolled in Classical Variations, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Student Choreography will have the opportunity to perform. Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet will also have the opportunity to perform this year.

Audition Details

Dates: January 20 and 27, 2024

Levels 1 & 2:  2:45-3:00pm
Levels 3 & 4: 3:00 - 3:30pm
Level 5: 3:30 - 4:00pm
Levels 6 & 7 : 4:00 - 4:30pm

Performance Fees: 
Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet:
$25 (Showcase only)

Levels 1 & 2:
$50 (Flat rate for Showcase only, Midsummer only, or both)

Levels 3 & up:
$100 (Showcase only)
$100 (Midsummer only)
$150 (Both)

Showcase sign-up is at the studio and the deadline to sign-up is February 3, 2024
